What is Turkey Technology Fast50?
The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards are a listing of the
50 fast-growing technology companies in Turkey. It includes
all areas of technology, from Internet to Life Sciences, Computers
to Semiconductors, Software to Telecommunications.
Can I nominate another company for the Technology Fast50?
Yes, a company may nominate themselves or be nominated by
a third-party.
Is there a fee to nominate a company for the Fast50?
There is no fee to nominate yourself or another company.
On what information is the Fast50 listing based?
The Fast50 lists companies based on revenue percentage growth over
five years, which indicates speed of growth. It is not a measure of
current financial performance or profitability.
How long has the Fast50 been in existence?
The Fast50 Awards were started in San Jose, the centre of Silicon
Valley, California in 1995 and quickly became the growth benchmark
of success in the USA. They have now expanded world wide to incorporate
37 countries and regions, including Austria. Belgium, Centrall Europe,
CIS and Russia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Italy,
Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, South
Africa, Sweeden, Turkey, The UK Plus 19 individual programmes in the
USA alone.
How do companies qualify?
To qualify for the Fast50, entrants must have been operating for a
minimum of five years, with turnover of over 50,000 Euros in 2003
and 800,000 Euros in 2007. The parent company must be Turkey owned
and the headquartered in Turkey. Subsidiaries do not qualify. Each
entrant must be a "technology company," defined as a company that
produces technology, manufactures technology-related products, is
technologically intensive or uses technology in problem-solving, or
devotes a high percentage of effort to research and development of
technology.
How does the programme determine winners?
The Fast50 is based on the percentage of revenue growth over five
years for each technology company. For the 2008 Fast50, companies
are listed based on percentage growth for each company's fiscal year
revenues over five years (2003 to 2007).
